HackerEval Chrome Extension Privacy Notice

Scope

This notice covers the HackerEval Chrome extension. Hiring organizations use it to manage candidate information in their HackerEval workspace. The organization's privacy notices and the HackerEval service's policies also apply to information retained in that workspace.

Information processed

When you connect, the extension receives your current HackerEval access token and its expiry, your user identifier, and your selected workspace identifier and name. It does not receive your password or a refresh token.

When you choose Capture profile, it reads the LinkedIn profile's name, profile URL, latest visible Experience position, and email if LinkedIn makes it available through Contact info. It may open and close Contact info and temporarily open that person's Experience page in an inactive tab. Missing fields can be entered manually. It does not guess email addresses or collect profiles in the background.

The extension sends the selected profile URL and available email to HackerEval for duplicate matching during capture or when you select Check for duplicates. Saving a new candidate or completing missing information sends the reviewed candidate fields to your workspace.

The extension retrieves workspace job memberships, internal notes and teammate names/email addresses to display the relevant candidate context. Explicit actions can add a candidate to a job, create a note with teammate mentions, or share a LinkedIn link with selected workspace members.

Use and recipients

Data is used to authenticate the connection, identify existing candidates, manage recruiting records, and support collaboration within the selected workspace. Workspace members with the applicable permissions can access saved candidate records and notes. Selected recipients receive shared-profile notifications. Note mentions use the application's existing notification flow, which may include email; profile sharing through the Share tab is in-app only.

The extension communicates with https://app.futureproofing.dev using HTTPS. The HackerEval service processes and stores workspace records and may maintain operational/security logs. The extension does not connect to a separate enrichment or email-discovery provider. For details about service hosting, service providers or processing locations, contact support@futureproofing.dev.

Local storage and controls

The current connection token and workspace context are kept in trusted Chrome session storage, rather than persistent extension storage. Disconnect clears the extension connection. Restarting Chrome or token expiry requires reconnecting. Unsaved form fields are not intentionally persisted in extension storage.

You can revoke LinkedIn site access or remove the extension in Chrome. Disconnecting, revoking access or uninstalling does not delete records already saved in HackerEval. For access, correction or deletion of saved candidate information, contact the workspace administrator or the privacy contact above.

Retention

Extension session data lasts for the active browser session and is cleared when you disconnect. Saved candidate records, notes and notifications remain in HackerEval independently of the extension installation. Their retention and deletion depend on the workspace and the applicable HackerEval service arrangements. Contact the workspace administrator or support@futureproofing.dev for the applicable retention period and deletion requests, including any limits related to audit records or backups.
